In October 2014, during the AAFM National Meeting at Barksdale AFB/Shreveport, LA, AAFM presented a painting by AAFM Board Member CMSgt (Ret) Joe Andrew to the Commander, Air Force Global Strike Command.
The painting is now displayed in the headquarters.
In September 2015, 125 AAFM members and guests, along with over 100 attendees at a reunion of the Black Hills Bandits from the 44 SMW/MW, gathered in Rapid City and at the new Visitors Center at the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site for a preview of the new center and tours of the Launch Facility and Launch Control Facility.
AAFM presented a painting by AAFM Board Member CMSgt (Ret) Joe Andrew to the National Park Service for display at the Center. That evening, former Secretary of the Air Force and AAFM member Tom Reed spoke about "Cold Warriors I Have Known" at a dinner at the hotel in Rapid City.
